The AHRQ PBRN Resource Center (PBRN RC)
The PBRN Resource Center funded by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) will provide selected technical assistance to grantees specifically aimed at building the research capacity of the 10 PBRNs.
The PBRNs will need to identify their potential needs and submit their requests to Brenda Hudson, the Operations Director at the PBRN Resource Center, who will determine and forward the request to the appropriate Resource Center staff person. The availability of specific technical assistance should not be automatically assumed but the Center will do their best to accomodate the request from their resources and as funding sources allow.
The PBRN Resource Center is made up of a team of experts from Indiana University School of Medicine and the National Opinion Research Center. Their expertise includes (but is not limited to):
Information Technology (IT) and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
Research involving diverse populations
Institutional Review Board (IRB) and HIPAA regulations
Survey design and implementation
Translating research into practice
Conceptualization, design, and implementation of effective research methods
Data management and analysis
Health informatics
The scope of assistance provided to each grantee site will depend on what is needed and appropriate.
